Just bought WinCraps Classic, and I've been evaluating the various betting scripts etc...

Yep... it looks like all computerized betting systems on the WinCraps website work for a while and then eventually crash and burn due to a variety of reasons...

Still it's interesting and for the moment I'm using WinCrps as a useful learning tool.

I'm very interested in connecting with anyone else who's familiar with creating and programming the WinCraps betting scripts.

In another life I was in IT and programming is not totally alien to me. I'm a fairly good "kludger" and "tweaker", however I still need a few pointers and help with WinCraps to help me get started...

Eeven though I'm sem-retired, I am fairly familiar in general principle with how WinCraps works. I'm definitely interested in linking up with other WinCrap users, tweakers, programmers, and kludgers... to help me over the learning curve..

Also when I'm finally over the learning curve, and able to write my own code, I'll be more than happy to help others...

Who out there is a fairly good WinCraps betting script programmer?

Please send me a brief note or PM...

Thanks!

TG

Steen, the creator of WinCraps, is actually a member of this board and will often post helping out anybody asking questions. There are others here who offer help as well. If you just post your question it will likely be answered.

I never had trouble with it crashing.

Be sure to learn to use hyper-drive on your tests - that oddly is activated under 'bankroll' only [I think]

my version seems to have lost its registration. I don't use it anymore and have the new version - also mostly have lost interest in that too though.

I'm not talking about WinCraps crashing, I'm talking about any Craps Betting System eventually "crashing" or taking a down turn and losing you money.

IMHO ALL mathematical systems fail eventually. Any stock or commodities trader who uses trading software can tell you that. That's why stock and commodities traders use "Stop Loss" and "Stop Win" controls, warnings, and flags to help them get out before "the system" does it's down turn.

IMHO Craps is NOT a "pure" mathematical environment, there are in fact many "human" and "non-mathematical" physical factors that we can control, (hence we are talking about developing our DI/DC skills.) and can influence an outcome more in favor.

My goal is to use WinCraps for assimilation, learning, and modelling tool to help me learn and understand Craps better...

I will also be purchasing some kind of training rig...

From what I'm seeing that Craps is BOTH a combination of both psychical skills and abilities, as well as tactics, strategies, methods, and money management, system...

My take on Craps is that it's very much like a competitive sport...

Many sports have their "couch potato" fans who never play, then there are fans who play as a non-paying part-time past-time and/or week-end hobby, then there are semi-pro fans who make a little money on the side, then there are minor league pros who make some kind of income, and then there is a whole hierarchy of major league players, and finally there are the superstars making 6,7,8 figures...

As far as odds of my being "successful" at Craps (whatever that means) goes...

A major league baseball star making $10,000,000.00+++ a year, strikes out 70% of the time...I'm happy to strike out 75%, 80%, 90, even 95% of the time! lol!

I'm not sure yet where I fit in the Craps universe, but I'm sure there's plenty of room for me at any level...

Thanks for the refund, and thanks for reaching out to me...

Wishing you all the best...

Everyone who has tested this in a scientifically valid way (repeatable, and under casino constraints) has failed to demonstrate a statistically significant level of influence or control. In other words, nobody has developed "DI/DC skills" in the way you presume.

It's very easy to control the dice on a pool table or a practice rig when there isn't a boxperson telling you to hit the pyramids on the back wall harder. But nobody has ever been able to execute a controlled throw that would be repeatedly allowed by an observant casino staff, and the casino staff always has the right to take the dice away from you. That's why casino dice scams either involve switching out the dice for loaded ones (illegal) or executing slide shots while blocking the view of the dealers so they don't have the opportunity to wave off the throw (also illegal).
"In my own case, when it seemed to me after a long illness that death was close at hand, I found no little solace in playing constantly at dice." -- Girolamo Cardano, 1563

I got a sure-fire way to win with casino craps... get on the other side of the table. Own a casino or make money from gaming industry. Selling gold pans to miners during the gold-rush was guaranteed to pay better than the vast majority of risk-takers who did the panning.

I hope you have the sense to not play real casino craps with more money than you can afford.
The difference between zero and the smallest possible number? It doesn't matter; once you cross that edge, it might as well be the difference between zero and 1. The difference between infinity and reality? They are mutually exclusive.
