1) Standard flat bet, without raising or decreasing your bet.
2) Raise a unit on every win.
3) Reduce a unit on every win.

People will tell you that it depends on the count. The truth is that your best chance of keeping your money is to put it in your pocket.
Mathematically, if you're not counting, then each gamble is assumed to be roughly independent, and there's no reason a prior win should change present strategy.
Quote: Baccaratfrom79'Best' is certainly subjective to each players traits and habits and how long he plays. In my experience, I do rather well, if I am going to win that is, if I press my first win up and then I pull down 2 or 3 wins. I repeat that and then press up 2 wins and then pull down the winnings once again. I subscribe to a strcit 1/3rd, 1/3rd, 1/3rd management with the win money which means, I increase my bank roll by 1/3rd and put 1/3rd away for later on and the other 1/3rd never gets touched or spent on something besides gambling.
I never could wrap my head around the part about not spending 1/3 on gambling. My brain always logically screamed that my bankroll was just 1/3 smaller than what I was saying and did the appropriate math.
So, bring $150 to the casino but refuse to gamble with any more than $100 and my brain just shuts down and argues I could have left that extra $50 bucks at home then.

I moved it. Been travelling a couple of days, just saw this.
Tired enough that it took a while to decipher "yacwbs". :)

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Personally, I am a flat bettor.
Also, what is your initial bet - 1 unit? 2? 10? 100?
For that matter, if you split hands and win both, does that count as 1 win or 2? How about if you double and win?
The other day I won $600 on six deck shoe game betting flat $25 bets and it took awhile before I loss 3 hands in a row. This is unusual as most wins and losses are in the $100 to $200 range using flat $25 bets per table session. I use a 20 bet bankroll for a daily session, so if playing green it is $500 daily bankroll. You may just like this one, I do.

Pertains entirely to my win money as I win. Especially in baccarat more so than blackjack. But I employ the same at BJ when I do play it. Early on I would merge all my win money with my current bankroll/buy-in and nothing to manage.
Example, say I started with $1,000.00 and at the end of a couple shoes I had $2,500.00. I won $1,500.00. I would at that point, increase my current bank roll/play money to $1,500.00, put $500.00 in my pocket for 'later' or a re-buy in and put $500.00 away for 'non-gambling'. That way I manage the win money with strict protocols and helps me play better, larger and more confident. Also, that way I don't give it all back cause the cards got bad.
P.S. If I straight lose, I learned to go look into the safe in my room, A of S!!! (joke)
It all started with "yate" (yet another text editor) back in the 1980's, after vi, nano, pico, joe, tico, emacs, etc.Quote: beachbumbabsTired enough that it took a while to decipher "yacwbs". :)
