The idea is to make $10 per baseball game. Pretending there's no juice involved:
You bet $10 and lose. The next bet would be $30 ($10 for the first game, $10 for the second game and the $10 loss).
You bet $30 and lose. The next bet would be $70 ($10 for the first game, $10 for the second game $10 for the third game and the $40 loss from game #1 and #2).
If you win the bet, you would profit $10 x quantity of games played plus recover losses.
I have a 'bar bet' going and need to do some research! Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a Martingale progression, except that you're more-than-doubling your bet after a loss.

It's the Super Martingale, or enhanced Martingale. Even more calamitous when it misses.
"Then you can admire the real gambler, who has neither eaten, slept, thought nor lived, he has so smarted under the scourge of his martingale, so suffered on the rack of his desire for a coup at trente-et-quarante" - Honore de Balzac, 1829

but presumably if you're a better sports better than your friend at the bar, you might be working with an advantage, no?
