Back from my second visit in 3 weeks (business travel) and I'm about done with the Legacy...and I've been gambling there since it opened.
The Caesar's program is spotty on tracking table play, and the rewards are crap. All I'm really looking for is a free room whenever I visit, some Pai Gow and 3-card poker, and maybe some old-style slots. Nothing fancy. I'd probably do a trip every 3mo or so with a couple $K gambling budget.
Am I better off at the Peppermill, Atlantis, the Nugget, the GSR or where else?
Thanks!

I mainly stayed at the Silver Legacy and Eldorado with a few stays at both Peppermill and Atlantis. At the time I was going the Harrah's property was the most generous with room comps but the rooms were outdated and everything just felt old. I preferred staying downtown because I like to walk to the other properties but I had no complaints with Peppermill or Atlantis. If you do stay at Peppermill make sure they don't put you in one of the old motel style rooms, stay in the tower.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Based on my 4-years-ago knowledge of Reno, Peppermill and GSR have pai now, Nugget and Atlantis do not. Peppermill has it more consistently. GSR had it only during peak periods.
Both Peppermill and Atlantis used to have a great selection of early 2000s IGT video slots. Not sure how "old" is your idea of old-style slots.
