Thoughts on Mt. Airy?

I am thinking of doing a golf trip ..... When it warms up.....Considering ....Mt. Airy..... Anyone have any thoughts on the place?
We did Shawnee years back and then swore off the Poconos. The rooms smelled, beds terrible and food was horrible....great golf course though

I've always been happily surprised by the food at Mount Airy. Only golfed there once. It was kind of rainy that day. I thought the course was pretty but not quite hard enough for a resort track. Usually, I just drove up from Philly for a few hours, but I've stayed there a few times. Some rooms do feel a little stale. Potential solution: don't spend time in the room - there's a casino under it!

If you are also looking elsewhere in PA, Lady Luck Casino® Nemacolin, also has a great golf course. Since the casino is relatively new, I wasn't sure if it was on your radar. I can't provide any personal info as the resort & golf course are outside of my price & skill zone.
