Except he was paying interest on the debt, taxes and upkeep on the property. Not nearly 150% profit.

All this reminds of the line in Turks and Caicos, a BBC production involving Bill Nighy and Winona Ryder: "The only money in the world is Dirty Money'. A comment that was made in reference to tax havens and banking havens existing solely to service the billions that have been hidden away and must be brought out as legitimate laundered money.
Some unidentified private equity firm? I wonder who really owns it? Were they the people that were going after him for fines and levies and the like? Is TEN going to be owned by the idiots who ran it into the ground when it was Revel? Was it all intentional mismanagement?

That article says that someone else had offered $220mil in July. Does anyone really believe that Straub was holding out for a mere $5mil more?

He paid 30+million for the power plant and it costs about 1m a month just sitting empty for maintanance.

There's hundreds of reasons why the offer may not have panned out. I'd have to imagine there's a lot of stipulations and due diligence when talking about deals this big.
