Well, I got a new job and I start next Monday. My first day will be at a meeting in......VEGAS!!!! Oh poor me, staying at the Bellagio, then tacking on Fri & Sat at the Palazzo....soooo excited....oh yeah about the new job too!!l lol

Hope you enjoy the first weekend. After that get used to the cess pool.
Edit: re-reading it looks like the first meeting, not the job itself, is in Vegas. That's good. Enjoy the weekend and congrats on the job.

Thanks everyone. This isn't my first rodeo. I've been to many national meetings and it's a full day, usually from 7am-midnight with dinners and everything. It's tough since I'm East coast time and I'm exhausted come those dinners. I'm in Management this time so I really don't have to answer to a direct manager and a few colleagues from a previous position also work there so it'll be fun.
I will absolutely write a trip report. My host at the Palazzo got me tickets for the Chris Paul Top Spin tournament, $100 food credit and $400 slot play. It should be a fun weekend.

I most certainly have. You know that Nicholas Cage movie Leaving Las Vegas? That was me a couple months ago except without the booze and terrible acting and hooker, so I guess just the leaving Las Vegas part. Same occupation, just off to literally greener pastures.
Alternate definition of cesspool:"a filthy, evil, or corrupt place or state." Don't get me wrong, there's things I like or miss about Vegas, but I think the shoe fits.
