Atlantic City power supplier agrees to turn the lights on at Revel
Quote: jerrysnjThe AC Press is reporting that Polo North has reached a two week agreement with ACR to supply power while they work out a long term deal. The Polo North should be powered up by Friday.
I guess I should have known better but believe it or not there was a snag and now the building won't be powered up until sometime next week. It's looking less likely they'll have this open by the beginning of the summer.

This one should not have been a surprise to him if he had decent lawyers. Anyone involved in casino ownership has to be licensed so they should have started this process a long time ago.

It might not have been a surprise but with his delusions of grandeur he also probably thought those rules didn't apply to him.
Sister was saying something along this line.... they planned on running the electricity from SHOWBOAT to power REVEL
brother in law worked on almost all those places over the past 30 years

Could this be the missing document?
"Glenn Straub said Tuesday that the former Revel casino won't reopen by Memorial Day, and raised doubts that the property will be open at all this summer. "

7stars you gave me my afternoon chuckle.
This is a big deal. The dangers of financing what should be private enterprises with public funds. WTF does another casino on the boardwalk contribute to public good? Shameful...Quote: boobertThe power cost is not the problem. It's the 20 year guaranteed interest on the municipal bonds used to build it. That deal survived the first bankruptcy but it's been the major reason for Revel's failure since the beginning.
