The plans for the Pier at Caesars has been announced. Sounds like it will offer a lot of fun activity, but will it draw enough people.

Thanks Jerry. Good to see someone actually talking about AC on this board.
Here are some nice renderings of the project: http://www.phillymag.com/property/2015/04/01/blatstein-unveils-atlantic-city-pier-plans-this-place-wont-fail/

There is going to be a very big PARKING problem. This will be a draw as will the Sporting goods store. The city lost a big portion of it's parking spots with the closings.

It's all bull. He'll get a lot if not all subsidized money then sell it just like the guy that "developed" the walk and sold to Tanger outlets. The circle of stupidity sadly continues

"Subsidized " by whom?

The CRDA, the State, taxpayers.....Check the amount of money the "walk" was given. They are still receiving in tax breaks. You think Bass Pro shops said "let's build in AC". It's all an elaborate money skimming scam. You wonder why the disparity in wealth in America is growing by leaps and bounds? Politicians are fed by the rich who in turn are fed by politicians.
"But it creates jobs" is the biggest bullshit statement going today.

This is especially true in retail and other service industries as all it does is transfer a job from one store to another, so net new jobs is zero. The statement is a little more true for new manufacturing that are creating products for export.

I hate those overpriced food and beer music venues. Put up a couple of CMA awards, Gold Records, and guitars on the wall. Have some third rate band play country music. Serve Toby Keith's slab of ribs for $17.95 and a beer on tap for $5 and away you go.

Let's see......another "developer" coming to save the day with tax breaks and millions of dollars of "redevelopment" funds in which said developer keeps hslf and then sells property?? This city is f'd.

I think an indoor entertainment complex could be successful. Rather then just be open 4 months like many amusement parks this place can operate all year.
What I think would really be a winner is a Great Adventure/ Hershey Park type place. People could bring their families and stay for very little during the week.
