Can't they just move the cafe to a new location? It wouldn't be the first city to do it; New York's moved from just south of Central Park to Times Square, and San Francisco's moved from the end of one of the cable car lines to the Pier 39 tourist area on Fisherman's Wharf.

Unless they get involved with Revel, there isn't a good location left in AC. I don't see how both Margaritaville and Landshark Bar & Grill are both making it through the winter either. Last time we ate at M-ville, we were the only customers mid afternoon.

Hopefully this is closing means that Jim Allen and Hard Rock are planning something at the Revel site.
It has been rumored that Hard Rock will be the casino operator for Straub, and HR recently got approved for a casino license.
It wouldn't make sense to keep a Hard Rock Cafe open at Taj, when a Hard Rock Casino is opening further up on the Boardwalk.
