thing. We know absolutely she broke the law
now, with the emails. We're just waiting to
see if she has enough clout for a get out of
jail free card.
Remember Whitewater? Remember her turning
a huge profit from a small investment in the
commodities market? And what really happened
to Vince Foster. Look up the Clinton scandals
and it's amazing how many there are.

C'mon...she's done nothing wrong...these scandals are all part of a vast right-wing conspiracy.
Hell, the right wing can't even figure out how to beat Trump; how did they ever make all these supposed scandals happen?
Trump comes in 2nd. Cruz is a Latino and he
couldn't beat Trump with 100% Latino voters?
That's just wrong.
Quote: RonCHell, the right wing can't even figure out how to beat Trump; how did they ever make all these supposed scandals happen?
They didn't make them happen cause they didn't happen the way the right wing wishes they did; they're non-scandals. There's no there there.

Squeaky clean she is...
I don't know if there is a "there" in the whole email thing. It is under investigation, immunity has been granted to a staffer (usually a pretty serious sign), and it isn't going away. I don't really hear a drumbeat from the Republicans on it right now...the candidates talk about it, but the rest of them seem to be content to let it take its course. Maybe I am not hearing from them because of the noise from the election campaign; maybe I missed it. Who knows. All I do know is that this seems a lot more serious than Democrats would like to admit.
She has given us various versions of the truth while claiming to be open and transparent throughout the process. That is to say she has lied time after time during the process. Or maybe her narrative is just shifting. It is obvious she and her staff (which she is responsible for the actions of) made some very poor choices and tried to put it back on just doing things the same old way. That ignores technology completely and even perhaps the law.
I think if it was anyone else, even the Democrats would be calling her out on it. I think the constant changing of the truth would bother even the most ardent supporter enough to want her to retire to New York. The problem is that she is the anointed one and they don't really have anyone on the bench who has her name recognition. Biden may get the call to step in if something happens with the email stuff, but he is not the candidate that she is.
Anyway, I've been wrong about every election prediction this year, so I am not going to bother with predicting her demise. Her and President Clinton's history of operating on the shady side of things may never catch up to her. Then again...
Quote: TomGBased on Silver's analysis I would have been willing to lay 20-1 against Trump winning the election last summer. Couldn't find any takers. So either everyone else was just following his lead or every one else independently came to the same conclusions he did.
I'm currently willing to bet even money that Trump won't win. Of course, no one would ever take that, because every one agrees with Silver's analysis that he still has a less than 50% chance of winning.
I laid 14 -1. Much anxiety. Then I made peace with the fact that the money was gone. Now Cruz might save my ass.
I looked at Silver a bit. I've made money from his numbers in the past. Mostly my own judgement, though. I thought, there's a chance Trump doesn't even want to be president. At the time, he was just a reality TV star without much of a message. I thought the Republican establishment would be the last and impenetrable barrier. I was surprised how charitable fox and the talk radio bunch was to him, and how incompetent the party as a whole was in rooting him out. Even now, how has nobody said to Kasich: "drop out, or you are finished in politics?"
The Democrats are much better at shoving their shill down voters' throats. Before we even left the gate, it was Wall Street's choice, O'Malley and a 74 year old Jewish guy unknown to 90% of the population. And she's barely going to beat the latter!

I'll speculate, but I could be wrong...maybe Hillary's involvement in the Vince Foster issue?
Quote: Gabes22I don't see it as a sign that the Republicans are ignoring what is going on with Hillary right now. I think they are just putting it onto the backburner until the nomination is official, and then they will hammer her on it.
The nomination is won; there is no path for Bernie.
I don't think they are ignoring, I think that they are hoping that it turns into something they don't even have to attack on...that just plain disqualifies her.
Quote: Gabes22That's not what I was saying, perhaps I worded it poorly. I think the Repubs are waiting for their candidate to emerge. Right now, at this point, Trump still needs 53.8% of the remaining delegates to secure the nomination

Bernie is right down the road from me right now having at big rally at UM.

Hillary has basically got the Dem nomination locked up.... Why not have some fun with my vote?

May I suggest you vote for John Kasich? He's running 2nd in some polls for MI, with a bullet. And he's the adult in the room. I'm going to do the same if he lasts until the 15th.

That's just amazing. The guy has had 3 wives, cheated on the 1st with the 2nd, and on the 2nd with the 3rd. He has screwed so many people out of their money it's expected that you'll get the short end of the stick if you invest with him. He has told so many lies and pulled so many deceitful stunts, even brags on them in his book, that he should've been struck by lightning, in his Mammon worship over decades. The Evangelicals supporting him are leaving all their own principles at the door just to pull the lever. I simply don't get it.

They don't care. All they know is Trump has
a record of getting things done, they know
it for a fact. They also know that politicians
promise everything and usually deliver less
than nothing. They just can't do it anymore.
My wife and her sisters went to a Rubio rally
but they said the didn't like him. He's really
small and was sweating like a dock worker,
they were quite put off by him. Everybody
knows he wears boots to make him 3"
taller, but he's still got the small frame
of a 5' 7" guy. Women don't like that.

Have you ever tried to vote without showing your ID?
Of course it is standard practice to show your ID when you vote, no matter what state you're in.
No one is arguing that polling places should stop asking for IDs. The issue is when the person doesn't have an ID to show....
I believe here in Michigan if you don't have an ID to show, you can still vote if you fill out an affidavit.

From the Michigan SOS:
Quote:Voting Without Photo ID
If you do not have photo ID, you can still cast a ballot simply by signing an affidavit. The affidavit can be used by:
• Voters who do not have acceptable photo ID
• Voters who have photo ID but didn't bring it to the polls
Once you sign the affidavit, you may cast your ballot. It will be counted with all other ballots on Election Day.

Trump is playing Peter Finch in Network
The famous scene
'You gotta get mad"
Instead of telling people to open there windows and scream "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it any more"
He's telling people to get mad essentially and vote for him
Great movie scene
Why are people listening to Trump
As Ned Beatty told Peter Finch in that other great scene "because you are on Television dummy"
drop out before FL. He can't win no matter
what happens from here out, and if he leaves
his name on the ballot, he can't run for
