Perfect Pairs Changes in Australia

Australian Casinos are beginning to change the rules for the Perfect Pairs side bets on Baccarat and Blackjack from:

Baccarat - 8 Decks / Blackjack - 6 Decks
Perfect Pair: 30 to 1 (2 cards of the same rank and suit)
Colored Pair: 10 to 1 (2 red or 2 black cards of the same rank)
Mixed Pair: 5 to 1 (2 cards of the same rank, 1 red, 1 black).

to

All Pairs: 11 to 1 (Any 2 cards of the same rank, suit irrelevant)

What effect does this have on the house edge? ie. What was it before and what is it now, I'm rather terrible at calculating this type of thing. Casino staff have been advised to tell players that there's "no change, it's about the same - we're just bringing it into line with other Pacific Casinos".

I don`t know what the edge would be,but you can be sure it will be a higher edge for the casino.

The house edge for 8 decks would be 10.3614458%

I can only guess that for 6 decks it would be about 12%!

For blackjack (6 decks):

Before the change, house edge is 5.79%
After the change, house edge is 11.25%

For baccarat (8 decks):

Before the change, house edge is 3.37%
After the change, house edge is 10.36%


So the casino is lying, it is not "about the same"!
