I see the example of Standard Deviation on the red white and blue exaple slot machine on the wizzard of odds website (https://wizardofodds.com/slots). But how do you arrive at the Standard Deviation of the game? What is the formula?

Thanks in advance

You would need to know the probability of each win to determine the variance. Unless you know how the game was programmed, or piece together the reel stripping, I don't see how you could get at that. The general formula for the variance is E(x^2)-(E(x))^2.
