Hi,
I am a new member here and I hope this has not been asked before.
Marina Bay Sands in Singapore just offered a new game called 7 Up Baccarat. The full rules are here:
The rules in summary:
1. The first card of Player is always 7.
2. 3 cards are then dealt from the shoe, first and third card belongs to Banker.
3. It follows the normal baccarat rule regarding which hand stays pat and which hand draws.
4. The settlement of wagers: Banker wins with point total 7 pays 9 to 5, while Player wins with point total 7 pays 1 to 2. Any oher point total winning pays 1 to 1 for both banker and player.
5. Tie pays 9 to 1 on total point of 7 and 7 to 1 on other point total.
5. There is a Super 7's side bet where any two 7s pays 2 to 1 up until any six 7s pays 777 to 1.
From the wizardofodds.com site, it seems that this is a problem of dealer flashing card, where the card flashed is always 7.
With unchanged payout table, this will definitely a Player bet, but now since the payout table has changed to Player was only paid 1 to 2 on 7 wins, I don't know how the EV would be affected by the change.
My questions are:
1. What will be the house edge of Player, Banker and Tie bet? My feeling says that the house edge is as good as no commisioned baccarat, where Banker wins on 6 pays 1 to 2 (UK variant). But I have no way to verify it, since I don't know what the frequency is of Player or Banker wins on 7.
2. What will be the house edge on the Super 7's side bet? My gut feeling says that Super 7's bet is a sucker bet.
As as side note, Marina Bay Sands also offered Power Baccarat 98 which definitely gives better odds than commisioned baccarat when the dice value is 3.
My feeling is Power Baccarat 98 is better than Commisioned Baccarat and Commisioned Baccarat is better than 7 Up Baccarat. I hope somebody can help me verify it.
Thank you.

Here's what I get for house edges for 8 decks:
Player: 2.5926065837882 %
Banker: 2.5793292236811 %
Tie: 4.0928924766972 %
Super 7's: 2.9794673021731 %
Of coarse I might have a typo and/or braino somewhere.

I took part in the 7up Baccarat today at Marina Bay Sands Casino.
They give $100 000 chips to all player to play 7 hands only.
Results: I finished the games with $510 000.
Top 20 players walk away with various prizes.
1st postion clocked $1,700,000
20th position clocked $600,000
I think the advantage for player will be in the Super 7 side bet
whereby if no 7s appearing for a few rounds, bet on Super 7.
Can Wizard or someone do a sim on this game?
Think they use 6 or 8 decks, more likely 8 decks.

Amazing how quick patrons manage to find these edges while casinos never seem to consider them.
The game is being offered in Macau too now.
