Hello all,

I am new to this site but have studied the odds of the games and a long time player of roulette.

Great site by the way and I especially like the info you have at the wiz of odds.

I was recently trying an electronic roulette wheel in central america. It was a golden-club live roulette wheel, but all the wagering was electronic. The ball was shot out, and a motor spun the single Ļ0Ļ wheel. I decided to bet on 10 numbers that were sleepers. I lost everything lucky for me the exchange rate was such that I didnīt loose that much in dollars but I walked away thinking that what happend was almost impossible. What are the odds of not hitting 22 times betting on 10 numbers. If I am not mistaken the odds are 4,2557462573389401449910183953783e-4 but what does this number mean as far as how often this would occure.

In my opinion, the odds of hitting in single zero roulette for ten numbers is 10 / 37 = 27.027%
Therefore the odds of not hitting is 27 / 37 = 72.973%

And the odds of not hitting it 22 times in a row is (.72973)^22 = 0.0976% or 1,024.32 to 1 which is unlucky but not completely unheard of.

Hope you weren't betting with big money.
