Anyone knows how to calculate n0 for an advantage bet?
Thanks
Thanks

Yes. It’s when SD = EV

Thanks. So if I'm playing a 3% edge game, $100 bet, 2.5 variance, what would the n0 be? (I'm missing something on the step to calculate SD in $$$)

E = 0.03 * R
S = 2.5^0.5 * R^0.5
0.03r = 1.5811 * r^0.5
0.03r / 1.5811 = r^0.5
r/(52.7046) = r^0.5
r^0.5 = 52.7046
r = 52.7046^2
r = 2,777
I think
S = 2.5^0.5 * R^0.5
0.03r = 1.5811 * r^0.5
0.03r / 1.5811 = r^0.5
r/(52.7046) = r^0.5
r^0.5 = 52.7046
r = 52.7046^2
r = 2,777
I think

I'm trying to use the formula n0=Variance/EV^2 but I'm getting:
n0=2.5/0.03^2
n0=0.00225
What the heck is that? I don't know in what format i should input the numbers.
n0=2.5/0.03^2
n0=0.00225
What the heck is that? I don't know in what format i should input the numbers.

2.5 × 0.03 × 0.03 = 0.00225
But you want 2.5 ÷ 0.03 ÷ 0.03 = 2778.
