It's saying the '3' [3rd column, 2nd row, below the '2' and above the '8', to the right of nothing and to the left of '8'] IS NOT CORRECT. But it says everything else is correct.

As you can see, there's already a 3 in the 1st column (in the bottom left grid), another 3 in the 2nd column (in middle left grid), as well as a 3 in the 3rd row (top right grid), and a 3 in the 5th column (top-middle grid). All of those 3's were there to start with, excluding the one in the top-right grid -- but that one doesn't even matter, because the 6-1-8 in the top left grid were there by default.

Coordinates (row x column, so the '6' in the top left grid would be 3x1) that were already there on default:

1x1: 4
1x2: 7
1x5: 3
1x8: 1

2x6
2x9

3x1
3x2
3x3
3x4
3x5
3x8

4x1
4x3
4x4
4x5
4x8

5x2
5x3
5x4
5x6
5x7
5x8

6x2
6x5
6x6
6x7
6x9

7x2
7x5
7x6
7x7
7x8
7x9

8x1
8x4

9x2
9x5
9x8
9x9

The rest I had already filled in. But what's pissing me off is it said the 2x3 square (a 3 in top left grid) is WRONG. WHAT. THE. ****!!?

4	7	2	6	3	5 1
3 8 1 2 4 6 7
6 1 8 9 7 4 3 5 2
8 2 4 5 6 3 7
7 6 5 1 8 9 2 3 4
3 2 4 7 6 8 5
4 3 5 8 7 9 6
3 4 2
8 2 4 3

I think it's a mistake on the website, as I can't possibly see any other way this could go about, since the 3 is FORCED to be in that square from the get-go...unless I'm an idiot and can't see something I should be seeing [or if this is one of those stupid un-told rules, like "en-passant" in chess....]. Unfortunately, when the '3' lit up as red when I hit "check" (to make sure everything was right), I clicked on the square, hit back-space to delete the 3....and it went to the previous page. I tried navigating back to the puzzle, but to no avail, ended up with a fresh new random puzzle. Argh!!

sudokuwiki.org has an excellent sudoku solver with lots of techniques that you can step through one at a time.

The above puzzle state is unsolvable because it leads to multiple solutions. Removing the 3 in question does not change this.

Either the initial puzzle state you were presented was flawed to begin with, or you entered something wrong along the way which led to multiple solutions.

I was going to plug your game into my Sudoku maker, but there are only 8 columns, so sorry but I can't see how to help. Ahh. when I double-click in your illustration, it highlights the lines, and the 9th is below the rest. Stand by...

So here's what my game says is the problem:

The parts that are left to resolve can be put in either way, so it's a multiple-solution error.

However, it's possible that the original solving grid you were offered, had you gone from there to where you got stuck by a different path, it would not have ended up here. FWIW, my game had no problem with where you placed the 3's, but perhaps if they were placed differently back a few moves, this would not end up as an error.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.
