The Railroad Pass Death Run!

I found a neat cycling route. It starts at Cornerstone Park in Henderson (which in itself is a busy and happy place) and I take the UPRR Trail, and then some other trail where I forgot the name, to the Railroad Pass Casino. Very enjoyable to sit and have a drink or four before turning around!
It's a bit strenuous and I made it more challenging for myself by missing the turn back onto the UPRR trail on the way back, giving me a long, downhill detour that I had to climb back up.
This run is halfway to Hoover Dam and after a few more of these runs I'd like to go all the way there! Anybody here ever do that? What's that like?
Oh and my phone might need recharging during such a trip- do you think they have electricity at Hoover Dam?
