So far I know of the following:
Fogo de Chao
Texas de Brazil
Via Brazil (pretty far off the strip)
any locals have any recommendations? I'd also like to hear too if anyone knows of any relatively cheaper places.
I don't know if you're putting a group together, but groupon.com seems to be offering discounts on most of the Vegas Brazilian Steakhouses.

The only one I know is Via Brasil. It may far off the Strip but was within easy walking distance of my first house here. I ate there only once and thought it was fine but you can see I never went back. I'm just not big on the concept and I try to keep my meat consumption in moderation.
Very fun place for a group trying all the different meats. I was there years ago and it was very good, I'm certain it was more expensive then. I hope the quality hasn't dropped with the price.Quote: beachbumbabsSamba at Mirage is saying the average check is $40, which seems cheaper than the 3 you mentioned, and it gets decent reviews. I've never had bad food at Mirage, but I haven't been to this restaurant, either.

I'm a big fan of the SLS food. Especially Cleo.
There is a fourth one that I know of in Vegas - Pampas, at the Miracle Mile shops that surround the Planet Hollywood casino.
Back to the Brazilian's. Fogo de Chao on Flamingo is awesome.

I was at Samba a year ago and it was excellent. I don't remember the price, but it didn't shock me and the food was delicious.
Anyone know if any of these brazilian steakhouses do any type of early bird specials or discounts for lunch version? Just trying to think of ways to make it more affordable for my buddies and I..
I don't recall any information about Samba, as it's been 9 years since I ate there. When I went, though, it was very very good. I seem to recall them only being open for dinner.
I think Fogo is better, quality-wise. I seem to recall thinking Samba was a bargain for what you got for dinner.
I have probably made the waters quite muddy with all of this conflicting info!
Been wanting to try it because food.
Quote: ajemeisterHey.. planning a trip to Vegas in August and looking to stop in a Brazilian steakhouse somewhere on/near the strip. Rather than revive this 5 year old post I figured I'd start a new one since I'm sure restaurants have changed since then..

I just went to Texas de Brazil about a month or so again. Really good. The salad bar is amazing. I think they want you to fill up on that stuff so you don't eat as much meat. :) Service was great. Always someone coming around with another choice of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and sausage. Like 15 different choices.
