According to the Black Jack survey, the single deck game at the El Cortez has a house edge of .30, whereas the double deck with DAS has a house edge of .45.
Does single deck make that much of a difference?
I like the DAS option, and without consulting the survey I played the two deck last I was there. OOPS.

Yes, I believe it's an .18% player advantage on 1D vs. 2D, which is like what -- one bet every 6 or 7 hours?
By the way, the good single deck game at the Tuscany is now double deck.

Interesting.

There are no doubt some other rule changes, such as limiting the number of times one can re split cards, or if you can double down on any two cards or 10 or 11 only, or other subtle rule changes that increase the house edge ever so slightly, but it adds up over time.
Now I'm not saying any casino or all casinos do or don't have the above rules, but I'm sure Las Vegas Casinos offer the best game for your gambling buck, at least IMO.
Usually there's a trade off if you want to play that glorious single deck 3 to 2 Jack.
And then of course there's the dreaded 6 to 5 Black Jack pay off. Don't do it!
