The let it ride strategy on the Wizard of Odds site says
With three cards you should only "let it ride" if you have:
...
Three suited cards in a row except 2-3-4, and ace-2-3
Three to a straight flush, spread 4, with at least one high card (ten or greater)
...
This means that if I have A24 or A34 all suited I should let it ride.
But that has the same (losing) payout probability as A23 suited.
The main problem is that you have only one type of SF (A2345) that you can make
unlike say J98 where you have 2 (Q high or J high)

You're right, it should say something more like "Three to a straight flush, spread 4, with at least one high card (ten or higher, ace must play high in the straight).
What makes the difference is the card you're hoping for on 4th street. 10 helps 89J a lot more than it helps A34.
