I have a question about the Blackjack side bet called "Tie" or "Push Your Luck."

On the strategy page, The Wizard makes two assumptions:
However I saw this game at the Desert Diamond Casino in Phoenix, they offer Surrender, and when you split, you are not required to split the side bet, but you can if you want.
I'm curious if these rules affect the playing strategy and how much it changes the house edge.

I don't know what the optimum surrender and split strategy is for this game.
But if you split and decide NOT to split the side bet, then play out the hand:
1. "...with the side bet", using a "push your luck strategy", like the one here .
2. "...without the side bet", using a "normal basic strategy", like the strategies here .
