I am puzzled by the numerous posters on this forum and other sites that only refer to casinos as "my local casino " or" a nearby casino" or "a luxurious strip casino", rather than naming the casino by name. I understand not naming a casino if it means outing a positive play but I'm mostly speaking about trip reports. Personally ,to me at least ,naming the casino makes the report more interesting.

There are hugh amount of advantage players here who already remain behind an alias, such as LAD, and pilfer hugh amounts of cash from unnamed casinos. You would name these casinos? And one non advantage player who moves hugh amounts of money till it becomes an advantage. I understand we have casino workers here, supervisors and those industrial spies that have joined the dark side to make more money(?)

Again not talking about positive plays. However if player X went to a casino and won a large amount playing BJ of Bac. etc. whats the big deal in saying i won this at this casino? The casino knows because the player was almost certainly using his members card when at his/her game of choice . Again just because it makes the trip report interesting ..

Perhaps such players are reluctant to allow the casino in question to connect the player's real name with the screen name/alias.

People just don't like their physical location being tracked.

I personally have had one or two posters make threats to locate me (not necessarily on this forum) with what most likely is cyber bullying and nothing more. Still it makes one wary of giving away physical location.

Our own WOV meetups are even forced to be secretive with location given away only at the last minute

Well, it's even worse these pandemic days.

Last time I went to the casino everyone showed up wearing masks! :)

Because the name does not matter so much. The point is they are just talking about a locals place.
