Hello. I am considering purchasing the Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide coupon books and have two questions.
(1) How physically large are the books? From what I am reading, you have to have the coupon still attached to the book to use it (for LVA) so I am hoping it fits in a pocket. Not sure if that is also true for ACG.
(2) ACG's site says some coupons can be used only once per year. For example: "$25 table game matchplay (one per calendar year) at The D Las Vegas" Since LVA has an identical coupon, does that mean I could only use the LVA matchplay OR the ACG coupon? Or am I still able to use both?
Thanks.

Lva is small and fits in your pocket. Acg is larger with more info than coupons. It comes with a card like a credit card that you show with the coupon so you dont need the book with you.

While I've never played both coups at one place back-to-back immediately, I was able to play them a day later without incident. So if you're staying downtown, you'll have no trouble playing both.

I almost immediately rip the ACG in two, as the front of the book is useless.
It's about twice the size of the LVA, which easily fits in a pocket.

Feel free to tear ACG to shreds. I just take out the coupons I use (and the card. Showing it is RARELY enforced, but it's still good to have it in hand), stick them in envelopes and throw the rest out.
The LVA book you have to keep intact and only take out the coupons when you're in front of the desk clerk.
You can absolutely use all coupons from both books at the same visit and you're limited to 1 per calendar year (That is to say, you can use one from ACG 2020 on December 29th and a similar one from ACG 2021 on January 2nd). If a location gives you a hard time, insists it's allowed.

El Cortez wouldn't let me a few years back and I deemed it unworthy of getting into an argument over. I simply used one the one day and a different one the following day. They specifically said that was fine.

ACG has a "coupons only" edition that is about a quarter the thickness and weight of the full edition. I bought one of each ACG edition last year.

During my coupon run 2019, Boyd properties both Ariz. charlies and Lucky Club would not let my Wife and I play both books in the same day.

I should note that Boyd Properties just started ACG coupons in 2019. That is coupons not dependent on prior slot play.Quote: Mission146El Cortez wouldn't let me a few years back and I deemed it unworthy of getting into an argument over. It looks like you also have to go to the players' club to collect the actual matchplays. Can you pick up the LVA and ACG matchplay vouchers at in a single trip even if you don't play them on the same day, or do they sometimes have rules like "good only on day issued"? Just trying to avoid lines as much as possible.

With the possible exception of the crappy smaller casinos (and ACG only), you have to redeem them at the players' club first.
IIRC you have to play them the same day they're issued.
