My girlfriend is coming to Vegas for the first time this week and wants to visit lots of different casinos. Are there any particularly good new player bonuses worth taking advantage of right now?

It's pretty slim pickens right now, especially if you're looking for slam dunk type of stuff.

There are a few, but they require you to come back weeks later.

The M has one... it's pretty convoluted and I can't remember the details.

That doesn't explain much.

Sahara for $300 and Cannery for $200 both have similar offers. Used to be able to do it at both Cannery and Eastside Cannery, not sure if that is still true. Interestingly, at Cannery the offer is only for locals (or was when I did it), and Sahara it is only for non-locals. Just use a passport and there aren't any problems. When done 'straight-up' the value is about 1/2 of the actual loss-rebate. With some trickery, there are ways to get it worth close to 100% of what they offer on loss-rebates.

I would say the median value of signing up at a rewards club is about $5.50. Obviously not great, but still a lot better than most any thing else they offer. Downtown is great, because you can get a lot of them in one easy trip. A few years ago I went with someone and they signed up at everyplace. I think they earned about $130 with a total value of around $80. Might not be that good anymore.

Can also check out American Casino Guide, or Las Vegas Adviser coupon books.
