Recently I have played some web-page based Video Poker games on several online casinos, and find that they have a certain new kind of VP called "Pyramid VP".
Cuz I cannot find any further infomation about this "Pyramid VP" on the WizardofOdds site, so I'd like to post my questions here and hope the honorable Wizard will see.
I am not sure if Wizard knows about the game, but I give some explanations here: "Pyramid" means a normal 5-card poker hand will be seperated into 3 hands: The leftmost 3 cards, the rightmost 3 cards and the original 5 cards. As a result, there are 3 paytables to pay for these hands. Take "Pyramid Jacks or better VP" for an example: It is nearly all the same as a standard JOB game while two paytables are added to pay for the left & right 3-card hands. What's more the two added paytables are different. Players need to bet seperately on each of the 3 hands.
Here is a game link:
So I wonna ask: What will be the Expected Return of these kinds of games? And what will be a good strategy? Will there be any differences from the strategies we usually use in stardard Video Poker games such as JOB?
I will be very glad if Wizard can see this question and even think about it. Thanks.

There's a vp writer who says all of these newfangled video poker games are gimmicks and meant for only one thing: more casino profits by making it easier and more exciting for the player to lose. This games looks like just one more of these. I'm sticking with my DDB. And what are you playing at on-line casinos for anyway? As soon as you do, any mention of "strategy" or "expected return" gets tossed out the window.
