I recently picked up Bob Nersesian's book "The Law for Gamblers: A Legal Guide to the Casino Environment."

Here's a link to where I got it, Amazon, with lots of great reviews there.

Well worth reading, especially if you're an AP or a wannabe AP.

That's so 2016. We have ZK. Who needs lawyers?

I from time to time post continuing legal education events on gambling law some of which deal with liability issues and tribal issues.

the main thing to remember is that good lawyers are expensive; bad lawyers are more expensive.

The late Poker Girl in Vegas got roughed up by security goons even though it was her car that someone had vandalized. She might not have looked like a show girl but she didn't yet look too strung out on heroin. Probably could have gotten some money but without five grand as a retainer what could she do. She often went to casinos just to use mailer coupons and free spins. Couldn't eat unless someone comped her so she had to be real lucky. That is why she did much of her gambling at Aunt Dotty's place down the block from her parent's home. Aunt Dotty often staked her to a twenty whenever she got out of the slammer or rehab. People who need lawyers need to have mega damages for a lawyer to even get interested in them.

If she had the money for a retainer, she probably would have received an apology and ten to twenty grand for the illegal detention and roughing up, towing her vehicle, making her walk home flat broke, etc.
