I was at a casino playing at a Lucky Ladies Blackjack table. The casino had similar rules on their regular Blackjack game to Spanish 21 in that, you could double down on any 9, 10 or 11 no matter how many cards it took you to get there. They did NOT however remove the 10's from the decks. Dealer hit on soft 17, BJ pays 3:2, and no surrender, split A's once with one card. Is there a modified BS for this game or do I just take that DD whenever I can? Or would I use the Spanish 21 BS table? I didn't notice a way to use the BS calculator for this game. It seems like with more 10's in the decks than Spanish that if it took me 5 cards to get to 11 I should just double no matter what. I did really good at that table just playing BS, no counting and am just wondering if that was a fluke.

If this game does not have any 10's removed from the deck, than do NOT use the Spanish 21 Basic Strategy/Calculator.
Basically a multicard 9, 10 or 11 should be doubled (if allowed) whenever the BS would call for a 2-card 9, 10 or 11 to be doubled. Think of it this way - the fact that a 9, 10 or 11 is made from 3 or more cards means that there are even fewer low cards remaining in the deck, hence, you should be more likely to get a 10-valued card.

That's what I was hoping thanks. It kind of reminded me of that Superfun 21 game, but mostly standard rules.

For an 8-deck game with the rules you stated, I calculate that the ability to double down on multi-card hands would lower the House Edge from 0.7888% to 0.5642%.

Wow, thats awesome. I played that game for almost 8 hours before they threw out the cards for a new batch and walked away with almost 1500 and a free hamburger. Hands down the best I've ever done. I ended up just giving it to the local casino's by my house when I came home though, haha.
