Last Friday I noticed a couple new keno games at the Rampart casino, The first is Bonus Spot Keno. It is like regular keno, except you usually get paid more if you catch the first number you picked.
Please click the link and let me know what you think. As always, I welcome questions, comments, and especially corrections. The question for the poll is would you play Bonus Spot Keno if it had the same return as regular keno?

Not impressed. It's just Super Keno, except you have to hit a specific number first rather than simply have your first number be a hit. I wouldn't play this particular game.

The bonus for hitting a very hard to hit target seems horrible! But I guess since it's "free" (ie: no extra coins). I wouldn't play it based on the concept for one, and two because of the crappy return.

With most VK games, in fact, everyone of them of which I am aware, you don't have separate credits to activate a Bonus. Even with special features and Bonuses, Keno is such a fundamentally simple game that you can make a paytable do the work for you.
Further, you'll sometimes even use the number of matches required for the first paying hit and change that. For example, 3/8 pays on Caveman, Triple Power and perhaps a couple others, but it takes 4/8 to get paid anything on most games. Other numbers that change are 4/10 v. 5/10 and 2/5 v. 3/5. It just depends on the game.

Agreed, you can do whatever bonus feature you want with keno and pay for it by depressing the pay table.
In theory, you could do that too with video poker variants, but players have come to expect certain pays for certain hands. A video poker player is not a video keno player and you have to try different tricks to get both groups to part with more of their money.
