I have been practicing the "Don't Come" craps strategy online, but there's one thing that is conflicting when I play online and when I played in the casino. Can someone please help?

Example: the button is "on" on the 6. I place $50 on the "don't come", an 8 rolls. The $50 is placed on the upper line of the 8 (if a 7 rolls I win $50, if an 8 rolls I lose $5). Then the 6 rolls -- turning the button "off". While the button is "off" if an 8 rolls do I lose my $50?

Please explain if you know the answer.

When you have a come or don't come having a number on or off does not matter. The bet is always active. If there is no number and a 7 is rolled on a come out you would win your bet.

So yes you would lose your bet but if a 7 rolls then you win your bet.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed. I AM NOT PART OF GWAE RADIO SHOW

Even the odds are working on the don't come unlike the come odds bets which are turned off by means of the puck.

In fact, I don't think I have ever seen a don't player turn off their lay odds on the comeout.

Not even once!

Same goes for a Lay bet, always working unless you ask to take it down. I've seen people turn off place bets for a few rolls, but never a Lay bet.

Both Come and Don't Come bets are always active. It's a different rule for Odds.

Also remember your bet has its own number which will be different from the current shooter's roll - the Puck only shows the shooter's number, your bet shows yours. Once you've established a point, your bet is sitting behind a number and all you need to worry about is the 7 wins and your point loses - it is important to remember this as at some casinos they find Don't bets confusing (I'm guessing in the US they're more used to them than here).

With behind or don't bets, both Odds and Lay bets are always active - the theory is on a come-out roll you want the 7 and the shooter also wants the 7.

With Place or Come Odds bets they are usually off - the theory is you also have a Pass line bet and on the come out roll the 7 is a winner so you actually want the 7.

do you mean the puck?

if a special button appears on the $50 bet, it means what it says.

I've never played for real money online, but with bubble craps in casinos I have found they have a very irritating way of constantly defaulting to 'off' on the odds bets, darkside or rightside either one. And you have to take action to get it turned back on - once off it wants to stay off.

I've found this so irritating that I don't even want to play. Is this what you are talking about?
