I used to play jacks or better and I played it pretty well. Got pretty much simple strategy down. Now I want to make a transformation into Aces and Eights.
Looking at the pay table. The 2 games seems extremely similar. So as far as simple strategy is concerned, I expect there not to be too many difference.
Basically I want to ask someone to point me to a few "adjustments" that I have to make. I would prefer not to learn the entire Aces and Eights strategy from scratch. It's like if you know spanish, learning portuguese from scratch would be a humongous waste of time.
And a side question. If I use jacks or better strategy on aces and eights (obviously won't be optimal for aces and eights), would the 0.3% higher return from aces and eights cover for the mistakes in the strategy? In other words does using jacks or better strategy on aces and eights yield greater than 99.5% return?

Using 9/6 jacks or better strategy on aces and eights (99.78%) returns 99.77%.
