1.) you can put it on the pass line and still place max odds on it.
2.) hitting a blackjack still pays 3:2
And
3.) you can use it towards any bet of any game except poker room poker.
So what should I do with it? I was thinking use it on the pass line of Crapless Craps because worst case scenario at the Come out is a 7 paying 1:1, and once the point is established I'm now only risking any money on the odds,
And if I pass a 2 or a 12 with 10 dollar odds, thats 70 bucks, then win or lose I go play regular craps. Sound like a good plan or should I just do blackjack?
If the bet pushes, does it ride, or do they take it?

If it pushes it rides, if it wins you get your winnings plus the amount the coupon is worth in gaming chips.
Edit: so going back to crapless craps if I pass a 2/12 I get 80, not 70. This just keeps looking like a better idea.

Sorry, don't quite understand your answer. Pushes=rides, ok. If you only have a coupon up there (assuming it's free play, not match play, where you have to put some money with it), they usually pay the amount of the coupon as if it were chips on even money, odds if it's an odds bet. Some places will let the coupon sit there until it loses; most places will take the coupon away after a single bet, win or lose. So, they replace the amount of the coupon with chips as well as pay the winnings? That's what your response seems to say.
Quote: Zer0Thats correct, it gets replaced with chips on a win.
So, if you're playing blackjack, you play only this coupon valued at $10, no other money. You win. They hand you $20 in chips and take the coupon? $10 for the winnings, $10 to "replace" the coupon? Sorry to be skeptical, but that would be highly unusual.
If the coupon is a one-time deal, win or lose they take it, your best bet is the biggest odds you can find that they will accept the coupon. (You will probably lose, but if you do, you're out nothing; if you win, you've made the most money from it.)
If the coupon is good until it loses, your best bet is as even-money game as you can find.

Says on the back "winning wagers will be paid and coupon will be replaced with gaming chips" on the back. The casino is Hollywood Casino St. Louis if anybody here knows anything about them

In that case, the coupons are worth the same as cash wagered on any bet. Wager them in the same way that you would normally wager your cash.

May be unusual, but this is what Harrah's STL used to do when I got these. I haven't got one from Hollywood since I have mostly moved to machine play, but it sounds the same. So the coupon is worth nearly 100% of face value. I would use it on blackjack since it has the lowest house edge (assuming half way decent basic strategy). If OP has never played BJ, then play regular craps (not crapless).
, and thought just this once I'd do a prop bet and backed it with a 5 dollar horn high 3, point landed on 8 right away, I placed 15 dollar odds behind it, hit it on the next roll! And yeah I got a total of $20 for the coupon; 10 for the win 10 for the coupons value. So I kept playing craps for an hour, got bored with it after staying about even, so I went and played some blackjack, hit the 21+3 like 5 times. Came in with $60 plus coupon, left with $300 even after tipping the blackjack dealer $20 and the craps table like $10. Needless to say it was a good day and yeah, Hollywoods got some awesome coupons!
book when you check in. In it is a match play
for $10. The last six or seven visits I always
give it to my wife and tell her what to put it
on, red or black. I have yet to lose. Must be
real lucky, I guess...
Quote: beachbumbabsVery nice, Zer0! Glad to hear they honored full value on those coupons. I've never seen one quite like that myself.
Yeah I knew they offered free play ever since the first time I checked the place out, but now that I've finally gotten my hands on some I just now realized how good they were. Of course it didn 't directly have anything to do with my good wins this time, that was all major luck to hit 21+3 4 times in one session but still, starting off with a win always helps, especially when you got a good part of it for free.
