I'm a table games dealer and our casino offers 2 and 4 deck Spanish 21 along with 6 deck. Does anyone know the differences in the basic strategy from the 6-8 strategy?
I really want to be able to give the best advice possible.
Alternatively, does anyone have a program for calculating the basic 6 deck strategy that I could tinker with myself? I could write one, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel. (preferably in java, but I could work in C+ or whatever you give me).

I personally don't have such strategies, and have never seen them, as 2-4 deck games have never been previously known to exist. My Spanish 21 program doesn't just spit out a strategy but requires a lot of testing individual hands to find the bonus exceptions to the basic strategy.

H17 or S17? With or without redouble?
Stephen How from http://discountgambling.net/ can probably help.

Dealers hit on soft 17, redoubling up to three times.

Funny, the casino mentioned is mine. :-)
Unfortunately, they never followed up with the analysis.
I'm really curious, since a poster said that allowing redoubles on a double deck should create a positive EV....
As a casino, we generally have excellent odds for our payouts, but I'd be surprised if the house edge was *that* good. Not that any of our players play optimally. Small town, and all that :-)
