Thanks in advance for your input.
The casinos are close together Downtown; they are far apart (for the most part) on the Strip.
I suggest not leaving the airport - it is notorious for having a long security line, and it takes some time to get to the strip, so you're not going to have anywhere near five hours to play craps.
What's the nearest casino to the airport that has craps - Hard Rock? Hooters?
Quote: MrVYour best move would be to cab to Downtown and hop from one to the other.

Thanks. Oddly enough, in all our trips to Vegas (about twice a year for last few years) Mrs. Dice and I have stuck to the strip. This could be a good opp. for me to explore new territory.
We usually keep ourselves busy with non-gambling activities during the day so most of my experience has been later in the evening when everything seems to be hopping. Walking around during daylight hours, I have noticed a few places that seem dead - just one table with a couple of players, and that's wht I want to avoid.

Could be - I haven't been here in a while.

The 5 hours is already taking into account travel and queuing time -- I usually give myself way more time than necessary to get through security which allows me to enjoy an adult beverage or two while I watch OTHER people running for their flight in a panic.
Also - Planet Hollywood is very closeby as well.
If you want casinos in close proximity then go to Harrah's/Quad/Flamingo. Personally I like Casino Royale because of $3 minimums.
Also want to add Hooters probably has the fastest in and out parking structure, with Hard Rock having a long walk from the parking lot to the casino. Every minute helps if you don't have long.
Nearest is Terribles and they have a shuttle but...they have lousy craps and if I recall correctly one table. Also a new name of Silver Sevens or something. Lousy craps crew and worse players.Quote: ThatDonGuyWhat's the nearest casino to the airport that has craps - Hard Rock? Hooters?
IF I were in your situation of short time and mandatory craps tables in close proximity, I would email a host at Mandalay Bay Casino. They usually have more than one table open AND a host can confirm for you what the situation is for the shifts that you intend to be there and keep you informed via email of any changes as you are about to land. They might even send a limo to the airport.

Don't they only do the limo thing for high rollers though?
If going to different casinos is the OP's priority, I vote for Downtown.
When it came time for the body scan, they had the next person stepping in the very second the first scan was done. And they had the next person in queue stepping right up to the door to be ready to go next. IT was the fastest I have ever been hustled through in some time.
The cattle line was 2/3 full when we got there, and I don't think it took us 20 minutes before we were to the gate.
