On my last two trips there have been loss rebate programs available, but I did not take advantage of any.
Here's the thing, most of them give you the rebate in two or three installments. Now, I understand why this is so, but suppose I can't make it back to Vegas in time to use the rebate? For example, abck in 2010 I fully intended to travel to vegas in 2011, but I wasn't able to. As I read these promos, I'd have forefeited much or all of the rebate. This gives me pause.
The other reason is that taking into account my bankroll and style of play, I wouldn't put in more than $200 US into one of these. I'm not sure if it's even worth doing at this amount, considering I get back perhaps half and may not be around to use the other half later.
Does anyone else face the same quandary? I'd love to go to Vegas twice a year, but I simply can't. I could afford it, monetarily, but I can't take time off from work that way. I could split my vacation between, say, May and August, or maybe May and July, but who wants to visit Vegas at the height of summer?

It might be. And I might do better playing Loose Deuces for $0.25 per hand. I'm not really sure.

I was at Treasure Island Biloxi and they had a great loss rebate program for new players. . Lose up to 100.00 and come back the next day and play with a comped 100. I lost my hundred, came back next day and played the comped 100 down to 0 and walked out with about 70.00 real dollars and hit up the buffet.
Down 30 but got to play a ton of video poker.

When somebody doesn't believe me, I could care less. Some get totally bent out of shape when not believed. Weird. I believe very little on all forums
