If there are 22 cards remaining in a deck of cards and 9 of the 22 will give you a winning hand. What is the probability you will draw one of your outs if you get to draw 3 cards off the top of the deck?

I only ask because I do not know the formula to use for this. The first card is 9/22 the second would be 9/21 the third would be 9/20.

You solve for the chance of NOT catching a winner:

13/22 * 12/21 * 11/20 = 13/70

then

1- 13/70 = 57/70


So the chance of hitting at least one of your outs is 57/70 = 81.43%
