Anyway, you can be the first to befriend my Wizard of Odds page.

Thanks. No friends so far.
I have never met your daughter, so I could only speculate on why she has more friends. Is she perhaps cute? That could do it. Also, musicians often are more popular than jugglers, I think. :-)Quote: WizardMy daughter somehow has six times the friends I do.

You can only "like". I got a "Hi Miplet" status update on my phone. Did you delete that post? I'm Adam R Cohen in case anyone is curious. I mainly use Facebook to play games. Ya, I know, I have no life :)
Quote: jml24I don't think you can friend a page, only "like" it. BTW the link in your post above now goes back to this forum thread.
Okay, I didn't know that. That is strange about the link. Please try it again.
it will tell you who the likes are, its the same as having friends. You're
the only one who can see them.
I didn't see a "Friend" button, so I hit "Like". And I posted about the no friend thing.
Now I go back and my post is NOT on the wall, but IS listed under Friends Activity.
Whatever....

You have to click on Everyone (most recent) or just click here
and I don't see why the Wiz would. He already has a public forum
here, one on FB is a waste of energy. IMO

Fair point. It is just that I get friend requests from people I don't know and don't want to be rude. I want to direct them to my Wizard of Odds page so I can politely decline them.

I think there is a way to change your security settings to eliminate the stray friend requests. At least that's what I remember from when I set up a Facebook page in order to enter a contest. I have never used it since.

I wish Facebook would support, and maybe they do, one-way friendships. Where person A reads what person B writes, but not vise versa. If a big celebrity has a Facebook page, what do they do? For example, I'm sure that Lady Gaga might like to write stuff for her fans, but I doubt she wants to know what each one of them did every day.
all they can do is talk to her, but she can't see their
pages. You can also block anybody you don't like.

Is there a difference between blocking and un-friending somebody? Does the victim know either way?

If you block someone they will not be able to contact you in any way. If you simply unfriend them, they would still have the ability to send you a message, or try to friend request you again, but they would be unable to view your profile. Typically you only block someone if they are harassing you or you just really don't care to talk to them.
