I think a dugout is a kind of canoe. A "shell" is the term for a boat used in Olympic and collegiate/high school rowing.

Question from millionaire.... What was the first cable channel to operate in the United States? C-span.... ESPN...HBO...or MTV? Contestant asked the audience and they got it wrong.
answer was HBO. Audience said C-span
