Taking the time to say the purples aloud helped me figure them out. I was on the scent for the whale category, but only knew three.

Did I confuse "compact" with Compaq, which was acquired by HP decades ago?
Here's one for the Remember When thread: my first PC at work was a Compaq with an 80386 processor at 25 MHz (as in, 0.025 GHz), and I think 1 MB of RAM and a 110 MB hard drive that had to be partitioned into four drives as DOS did not support hard drives larger than 32 MB at the time.
I was a little confused with the greens, as "trash" is not a folder on a PC - just a Mac, apparently

I think it's not a spoiler to say my first PC was a Compaq as well. I don't recall the model number, but it would have been purchased around 1995. Like an old Mac, there was no separate monitor, but the small screen was part of the unit. 3.5" disk drive built in disk drive too. I just had to plug in a keyboard.
My first legitimate computer was an Apple IIE. Before that, I had an awful thing called a Sinclair, which shouldn't even count.

One of the original "portables" - I remember those. The one I was talking about was from around 1987, I think.
And you sound like you are describing an old Timex/Sinclair 1000, which had a touch panel instead of an actual keyboard. I think that, at one point, the price dropped to $99, and they were targeted at people who didn't know if they wanted a home computer or not, but for "only" $99, they could find out if they thought they could get used to using them. Of course, this is long before houses could access the World Wide Web.
My first home computer was an Atari 800; I upgraded to an Atari ST with 1 MB of RAM before finally buying my first PC around 1990. One advantage of living in the Bay Area: there were any number of companies where I could order the computer and then, when it was ready, drive there and pick it up myself.

We have similar computer histories! I also had an Atari 800, then an Atari 520ST for college. I still have them, though I'm thinking of selling the ST because I have less attachment to it, and it takes up a lot of space!
My junior high friend had a Timex Sinclair.
