Purple first. I wasn't confident about Lucky Strike as I have not heard of that cigarette brand in decades. It paid to be old on this one I guess, which is usually not the case with this game. Lucky card was also certainly a possibility. I probably had Dream Card video poker in my head.

When it got down to greens and blues I was rather perplexed. I have heard about swiping left and right with some dating app. I figured blocking and messaging would be options too. Then it was educated guessing from there.

I do find it interesting when two single people get to talking about online dating apps. When I was single I got rejected to my face ... a lot.

"Fire" was pretty much a guess for the blue ones, but none of the other four seemed to fit. I have never used a dating app, so, other than "swipe," I was not familiar with the terms.

I am 0-for-669. But with over 2300+ possible words, that's hardly surprising. I also vary my first word almost daily.

Do you really think the editor (Tracy Bennett) would chose ADIEU as the word of the day? Somehow, I think she would never do that.

I used to use POINT as my starting word and it hit so I changed to POSIT.
