Quote: troopscottIs there anyone who lives in Vegas (or Henderson) and is a UFC fan
Yes. Attended a viewing party Saturday night. It's not as good as wrestling but is much better than the WNBA.
That one where a bunch of roided out dudes stand around and just talk about their feelings for about an hour... that one. ;-)Quote: billryanI don't know what fake wrestling is.
Anyways, I didn't meet to derail the thread.
Was there a specific question about Vegas and the UFC?
Quote: billryanI'm always amazed when people who rave about action movies or Star Wars denigrate wrestling because it is choreographed. Dollar for dollar, it's the best value entertainment in Vegas.

I used to watch it then quit, then my so watched it a bit and then we quit. They story lines just seem to wacky now. Was much better in the olden days of Arn Anderson, Mad Dog Buzz Sawyer etc
That being said I need to see if there are more folks in Vegas area that are UFC fans. There is a reason behind the question I will get to in 24 hours

With very few exceptions, most pro wrestlers have extensive amateur wrestling backgrounds.
Two of Future Stars brightest students were State Champions in High School. One from Nevada, one from Hawaii.
Another student is MMA Hall of Famer Stephen Bonner who is currently finding out just how difficult the business is.
