OnceDear's contribution was a major tipping point, unless he turns out to have been in the Wizard's pocket on this.
The way I see it, it'll be back to the status quo after this round without any additional outside contributions. In fact, no reason to think that Wizard wouldn't go $20/$50 again. If Wizard was not aware OD was going to make that additional donation, then Wizard didn't even actually get to experiment with the $20/$50 this round like he wanted, because it ended up being $20/$100.
And, I could already tell you how that would go. Had it been $20/$100, all coming from Wizard, everybody absolutely WOULD share unless Wizard had a confederate.
There's also one other reason. If we can't share when the overall pool ends up being 500% of what it would be not to share, then when can we share? There are seven teams. I don't think you're ever going to see much (read: any) more than 500% in any round to incentivize sharing.

The issue there was I was counting round 1 captains, who were more of a tie-breaking vote than a captain. Here is an updated table that doesn't include round 1, which had 8 teams, by the way.

One Other Thing:
Another thing is that there logically has to be a maximum amount that Wizard wants to contribute into this game. We don't know what that amount is, but we do know there is an opportunity for an extra $50 that (allegedly) does not impact that amount.

There are still 12 minutes left for vote changes. Let's remember that a vote change from share to steal will result in one of the following:
1. If everyone else shared, you'll get $5.71 more.
2. If there is at least one other steal vote, but not all, you'll at least get something and punish that team(s) who stole first by cutting their share of the pie.
3. If everyone else already stole, then you won't look like such a fool.

I want to say, I have a method for my votes during this game. It very well may backfire but my game theory is my game theory and I can't exactly put it out there to others because then my game theory would have to change. The more conversation that happens in this thread the more it plays into what the wizard can do with his captains and also the prize money. If this were to be a closed thread and there were no discussions this game would be completely different.

Well, I will offer my congratulations. There was a lot of maneuvering going on, and more than one captain was looking for a solo steal. So I think this represents a substantial if grudging progression towards cooperation. Well done, all!

We need at least one guaranteed share team. Then everyone else can steal, and the "side poolers" will only get (1/n)/t where n = number of steal teams and t = number of teammates. Honestly, that was kind of the goal.
Not to irritate you, per se, but had you stolen...nobody would have ever believed for a second that you weren't in the bag for Wizard going into the round. Given that, it would have essentially proven, from the perspective of other players, that the game was rigged from the very beginning and neither the $50 incentive or the $30 sharing bonus from Wizard actually existed last round.
For those reasons, if you were being honest about the $50 (and you were) I was hoping Wizard would try to ask you to share...or perhaps even offer to cover the $50 to get you to share, lest the game appear not to have any integrity.
Wizard would not like the integrity of the game to be called into question, much less would he like there to be evidence that would point to the game not having any integrity. I wanted to put you in a position where you really had no other choice but to share as long as the other six teams did so.

As a side pooler, I really don't have a problem with the $20 getting split as many ways as possible. I have submitted my vote to my captain to share, but I will retract that if we are going to go the, "One Team Shares," route.
I think that whatever team has both:
A. A captain in the main pool.
AND
B. The most players in the main pool.
Should be the team to share because the pool does pretty well no matter what happens. All other teams should steal.

It's not that simple.

Only one team should share and it should be the team with the most main poolers. All other teams should steal. Just because we're not main poolers doesn't mean you won't need us to cooperate down the road.
Besides, I would like to think that I at least helped work the share out last round. I know MaxPen (side pooler) had a hand in it, because he was a captain!

I think Wizard would have tried to talk you out of it. It would look like the game had been rigged starting from the top. Had Gordon come on here to defend you, I would've just pointed out that you could just as easily lie to him, too.
Clairvoyance would help, honestly. Too many things to do at once last round. If I KNEW what you were doing, then I could have just focused on strong-arming the other captains with hints to the effect that they would be excommunicated from a not insignificant percentage of the active members for stealing.

I'm not excited to offer my opinion, because it volunteers a different team, but Joeman's team2 appears to have all big poolers, and is the only one that doesn't have a non-big pooler.
If they share and the rest of us steal, everyone will get paid. With no configuration bonus, that seems the optimal solution.

If someone wants to do the accounting, I think the fairest "one team shares" option would be to add up how much of the wizard's money each team has, and the team with the most money shares this round.
Another option would be for team two to share, because round 8 mod 7 teams is team 2 (8 % 7 is 1, the 1th team on the list (in index position) is team 2)
Another option would let SOOPOO decide.

This was a lie. Direct, bold-faced lie.
I'll probably not be as active as I was last round again, though. I couldn't tolerate the thought of a steal when it was $20/$100.
Further, I might be the most competitive person any of you have ever met. I REALLY hate losing. I'd be an absolute menace in this game if I had started from the beginning (which I wouldn't have done) because my singular obsession would have been to finish with the most money at the end while also playing against Wizard all the while.

I'll go back and delete this post after it's no longer useful, but on a quick search, the last table has pooling. Maybe OD could post an updated master list? I'm not the boss of him, but I had to go back 50 pages to find this one. Thanks.in advance!

I also want the big pool to respect the hit the independents took for them in round 7. Tread carefully when distributing the slices of the pie, even when the pie is small.

No, because the loss of a few dollars in the main pool affects each individual person in the main pool the least. Although, that might not be true if it is Joeman's team since they are ALL main poolers. Maybe pick a different team with a main pool captain and a few main poolers.
Just try to keep myself, RS and MaxPen happy. You might need us down the road. I'm willing to see one of us cut out of it this round if that's just the way it works out.

This is exactly why I pushed the teams the way I did in the first OD supplemented round, and am suggesting the team2 do the share this round. Each time, it cuts out the least number of non-poolers.
It's a mistake to create an internal rivalry between main pool and the rest. It's best to look out for their interests as well to maximize return.

That was my issue with TroopScott. It was clear that he looks upon non-poolers and side-poolers as the enemy, or at least, once looked upon them as an enemy.
Side poolers and no poolers, in addition to being 100% necessary for the game to continue, are not an inherent enemy. We're capable of working for the common good.
Actually, that's why I was intrigued when RS said he was doing a side pool. I already declared I would always share, and I will, so I figured my taking that position AND joining a side pool would show that side poolers are not necessarily an enemy.
Finally, given the incentive, us side poolers did better with everyone sharing last round. Had any /both/all of our teams stolen, we wouldn't have done as well, obviously.
