We watched it a couple weeks ago. Itís as good as you remember.

Mosca,

Couldn't agree more strongly: it's a classic for a reason!

Now in the category Weird Rock, name the 2009 song that features these lyrics:

Ninja warrior, master of disguise,
He could melt your brain with his laser-beam eyes

As Time Goes By from Casablanca.

And despite it seeming to be the movie's catch phrase, Bogey never actually utters the phrase, "Play it again, Sam!"

You know, I have never watched Casablanca with Mrs Joeman! Thanks for the reminder, Gailmere! This is going to the top of our must watch list -- we seem to be watching a lot more movies at home these days!

Winner! Winner! Remember this chicken dinner!

Written for a 1931 musical and recorded that year by several artists, "As Time Goes By" would hit the stratosphere in 1942 as THE song in the film Casablanca"...

It's a great love song, which is why these intro verses are usually dumped by artists recording it...

This day and age we're living in
Gives cause for apprehension
With speed and new invention
And things like third dimension

+Yet we get a trifle weary
With Mister Einstein's theory
So we must get down to earth
At times relax, relieve the tension

No matter what the progress
Or what may yet be proved
The simple facts of life are such
They cannot be removed....

You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss (et al).

---------------------------------

Still in play...

Ninja warrior, master of disguise,

-------------------------------

And now, in the category 50's Pop, name that song...

Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella
Lucky fella
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

Winner! Winner! The answer hits Doc's eye like a big chicken dinner!

This Dino classic originally appeared in the Martin and Lewis film The Caddy. It was nominated for best song but lost to "Secret Love" from Calamity Jane.

And now, in the category 60's Motown, name that song...

I bet you're wondering how I knew
'Bout your plans to make me blue
With some other guy you knew before
Between the two of us guys
You know I love you more
It took me by surprise, I must say
When I found out yesterday

Heard It Through the Grapevine. Lots of great versions. Marvin Gaye, of course, then Creedence, Gladys, The Slits, Joe Cocker, and many more. Great tune.

Winner! Winner! Mulitiplayers heard a chicken dinner!

As mentioned, this song has been recorded by a plethora of artists. The Marvin Gaye version, however, is considered definitive...

...and yeah, who could forget the California raisins version...

And now, in the category 70's Progressive Rock, name that song...

I thought that they were angels
But to my surprise
We climbed aboard their starship
We headed for the skies

Well, I guess I've stumped the panel thus far, so I'll throw out a hint:

The title of the song is the three-letter monogram of the song's subject. In fact, it's the only song title I know that contains no vowels.

Dog Hand
