Have you been here? What is the name of the bronze sculpture?

The image inside the brick border (including the "statue") is actually a large mural entitled "Art Imitating Life Imitating Art Imitating Life"
None of the objects in the red frame above are 3-D, including the woman sitting at the table. See more about the art, and the artist, John Pugh, at his website here The image of the statue is an original work. The detail is amazing. Check out the original paintings behind the statue and on the wall on the left.

Wow, that's impressive. Are they all in 29 Palms?
edit: no, I guess they aren't. I've never seen this in person. Maybe someday.

Well, it's by John Pugh.
At work so I couldn't look too closely, but it's probably buried somewhere in this link: http://bit.ly/WW4inV (Spawned off a Google Image search, based on that image.)
A cursory glance indicates that the sculpture is painted into the mural, but I didn't see anything saying that the sculpture is also an independent work.

Very cool. At first I thought this was something
cool I could see in Las Vegas, but according to
John Pugh's website I would need to go to
San Jose.
More Info, if interested.

There's emptiness behind their eyes
There's dust in all their hearts
They just want to steal us all and take us all apart
