How many ways are there to actually deal the games as oppose to the odds of playing? There must be an infinite way to deal, with a wide variety of options available to the dealers. Why hasnt anyone explored these options.
I am a novice dealer with the will to learn as much as possible, but noone ever teaches instead. And no, I will not go to a class. This should be readily availabe.

There are certain conventions on EVERY existing casino game offered that must be followed, with very few things that can be optionally done, or done out of sequence.
This is done for game protection, and is expected by the floormen, surveillance crews, and pit bosses of every casino, and it is NOT "Do your own thing" kind of thing.
Some notes:
1. Going to a dealers' school is a good idea.
2. A few dealers have explored these options (got creative), and were told to go to bartending school.
3. There are DVDs, textbooks, and youtube videos on how to deal.
4. It's all about procedure and protocol.

No. In a casino there is a very strict procedures manual. In a social game there is a certain player's expectations of procedures, sort of an unwritten manual. There is only one way to deal: one that arouses no suspicions and causes no player any discomfort or concern.

Some of it is "readily available" but it is not all in one place. To learn it all at one place in a short time you need to take a class. Youtube has lots of good videos on dealing. But what are you trying to learn for? If it is for a casino dealer job taking a class is a must, no getting around it. If it is for home games watch some videos and watch some dealers.

One thing I teach people in home games when I get a chance is the right way to riffle the cards so you do not bend them. 99% of home games I play people don't know this. Takes a little while to learn the dealer's grip but when you do your riffle looks so much cooler. However, even then if you want to deal for real there will be procedure to it.

A good magic book ought to teach you a decent variety of different manners in which to deal cards. You might be able to find the information for free on the Internet, but a book would probably be a simpler option. Although, really, the casino you work for will likely have their own way that they want you to do it, and dealing seconds isn't exactly smiled upon.
