Slot Machine at Foxwoods

Dear Wizard,

I just returned from Foxwoods and have a question on interesting slot machines. At least 2 of the machines I played hit the bonus or jackpot lines. One of them being the Jackpot, three $$$ in line, but it did not pay out anything. I was told that the only way it would pay was to insert additional bills. I inserted a $100 and only paid $100. I had never seen these types of machines before. What is this about? I know I hit a big jackpot and I was so angry I just walked.

I don't recall exactly but was a gold single line million dollar quarter and I did play the maximum of 3 coins.

If you can provide a little more info to identify the machine we might be able to help. I am 99.9% certain neither the machine or casino ripped you off. It has to be a misunderstanding of the machine or payouts.
