Hello Wizard. Thanks for all you do. Concerning the permutations for sequential royals and non-sequential royals, it seems to me that the sum of these two should be the same across all 52 card games. I realize you are doing simulations and not direct calculations but there seems to be about a 5% error between some games. e.g. 6/5 Super Double Bonus and 8/5 Jacks or Better. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Thanks,

The number of "permutations" for each game is based on strategy. Some games - for that matter, some pay tables of the same game - are more likely to result in a Royal Flush (sequential or non-sequential). You are going to get more Royal Flushes with a "Royal or Nothing" strategy (e.g. if you have a 10-high straight flush, you hold the 10 and discard the other four cards; if you have a 9-high straight flush, you discard all five cards) than with basic strategy.

If you go to the Jacks or Better page and compare the number of "combinations" of Royal Flushes for each of the pay tables, you will notice that they are not all the same.

I don't understand what you're asking or what the alleged 5% error is. In video poker, I do use combinations and not simulations. If you think anything is in error or contradictory, please submit your evidence.
