HI,
I had a question regarding a situation at my casino where I work. We deal traditional European 6 Deck Blackjack with 2 1/2 decks cut off. Occasionally, or automatic shuffler malfunctions and we will find one extra card from the other decks (not in use) on the live deck. So for example, we will be dealing a six deck blue shoe and we will find one card from the red alternate decks. My question is, how much does this change the outcome or odds of that particular shoe being dealt to the players? Is it significant? What do other casinos do in this situation?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
If the one red card that is intermixed with the six blue decks is not put into play then it has no effect on the odds. If you do put it into play, then the effect on the odds will be a function of the rank of the red card and will be approximately what is shown here effect on the odds
