Since updating to iOS 11, when I type an apostrophe here from my phone it shows up as random junk:

Yea they show up correctly when editing before you submit/preview. And then if you edit the post with the messed up characters, they get even worse.
FWIW - iPhone 7 Plus, ios 11, Chrome

Os 11 probably sends a pretty apostrophe, not a plain ASCII one.
The forum move may have had a change in PHP versions, leading to a default character encoding change that is no longer the same as the one used by the rest of the forum software and/or database.

Yah certainly an encoding issue of some sort. I wasnât sure if was due to a change in iOS or a change in the forum, since they happened at the same time, but I donât remember having any issues before upgrading iOS so that was my gut feeling.

Earlier today, I was looking at some very old posts on the forum and saw these extraneous characters. I had no idea whether they had just shown up recently or had appeared in the posts several years ago. For a moment I was on the verge of trying to edit/correct some of the squirreliness in my own old posts, but I guess I could not have succeeded. Maybe things in those posts will go back to normal whenever the whatever-is-screwed-up is corrected.
BTW, my old posts weren't created with an iPhone or with anything using iOS, so I am skeptical those are the source of the problem. On the other hand, the apostrophe in the first sentence of this paragraph looks OK, so it can't just be the current setup of the forum.

It's
a problem
I don't
have.
(Test from my Android Samsung on Chrome)
Edit: I did notice someone who used apostrophes in their own text successfully (think it was in the NFL sub-rants Trump 100 days thread) had pasted a quote from somewhere that had the gobbledygook apostrophes in it, so I'm guessing it has to do with unrecognized source code as well. Just guessing, though.

I have tried twice to get my password reset and the emails were never received, inbox or spam. Yes I'm on here now, but have forgotten my password.

Im on iPhone six recently updated to IOS 11 and Im having the issue. I see two little question marks in a weird black diamond type outline. Sometimes theres a few other random characters as well. I noticed it in all of my posts and in my PMs a moment ago...
Also, godaddy email servers seemingly crashed today as my Work and business emails donât work. Perhaps we are getting super hacked again....
