Congrats on solving the 9x9x9 cube! Very impressive. How much longer did it take you to solve it compared to the 3x3x3?

Thanks! It's actually not as big of a deal as you may think. Once you can do a 5x5x5 you can do any odd-numbered side with the same sequences of moves. It just takes more time. Kind of like once you can do a small Towers of Hanoi puzzle you can do it for any size, given enough time.

I haven't timed myself, but I think it would take me about 2 hours to do the 9x9x9. The cube itself doesn't turn easily.

He solved it at 2.8 seconds, but took 0.3 seconds to drop it on the table and stop the timer!

My son's dorm mate does competitions and when I visited, I saw that he was mad at himself for finishing a cube in about 12.8 seconds.
